MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND THEFT OFFENCES

On 25th April at around 5.15am we received a report of a burglary at Bolehall Swifts, Rene Road.

Officers attended within minutes and located the suspect running down the road then trying to hide behind a car on a residents' driveway. He was promptly detained and found in possession of items from the offence location.

Items stolen include charity tins, cash and bottles of alcohol. A significant amount of damage was caused within the property too.

The 37-year-old male, from Tamworth, was arrested for burglary. He was further arrested in relation to other burglaries, theft from motor vehicle and theft from a store.

He has been remanded in custody.
